These included the need to ensure staff safety around machinery, protect valuable stock from theft, and improve security in the car park at both day and night times. This project required a commercial CCTV camera system installation to ensure the facility was equipped with the best surveillance technology.

The Challenges

1. Staff Safety in Operational Areas:

   1. The roller shutter, a key entry point, had been exploited by unauthorised individuals, leading to theft and loss of stock.
   2. The facility required a solution that could monitor and record all movements around this vulnerable point of entry.
3. Staff Safety in the Car Park:
   1. There had been several incidents where unauthorised individuals were spotted loitering around parked cars, leading to concerns among staff about their safety.
   2. The car park lacked sufficient visibility, particularly during early mornings and late evenings when staff were most vulnerable.

Our Solution

To address these challenges, All Round Security implemented a bespoke CCTV solution tailored to the facility's specific needs:

1. Comprehensive Surveillance Coverage:
   1. Installed a 5-megapixel 180-degree camera to provide full coverage of the car park, ensuring that all staff movements to and from their vehicles are monitored for safety.
2. Enhanced Monitoring and Recording Capabilities:
   1. Deployed three 4K 8-megapixel turret cameras strategically across the facility:
      1. One camera is positioned at the roller shutter entrance to monitor and record every entry and exit.
      2. Two additional cameras were placed to oversee the machinery operating areas, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and providing evidence in case of any incidents.
3. Extended Storage and Review Periods:
   1. Utilised an 8-channel NVR with a 6-terabyte hard drive, allowing for three to four weeks of continuous high-definition footage storage, ensuring all critical events are recorded and retrievable.

The Benefits

The implementation of our CCTV system has brought several notable benefits to the facility:

1. Increased Sense of Security: Staff now feel safer in the parking lot and on the manufacturing floor since they know that all important locations have constant surveillance.

Project Cost

The total cost for this comprehensive security upgrade was $3,890 plus GST. This price covered the installation of a four-camera CCTV system, an 8-channel NVR with a 6-terabyte hard drive for extensive footage storage, along with all required hardware and labour to ensure continuous and reliable surveillance.
