About All Round Security
Philip Walsh, key principal of All Round Security, started in the industry in the UK at 16. Fascinated by the security system technology involved in protecting buildings and catching burglars he signed up for a three year apprenticeship and was trained in a range of techniques to ensure only the highest in quality installations for the customer.
Philip quickly moved through the ranks and stepped into security system sales and management roles. An opportunity then arose to move to Auckland, New Zealand with his family for the same international company .
Philip was promoted to National Sales Manager in a short period of time and ran a sales team of 20 staff covering alarms, CCTV, access control, building services and guards and patrol services all around New Zealand through a branch network.
All Round Security was formed after he saw an opportunity to start delivering a personalised level of specialist security systems.
Philip tells of one of the early successes of the business where he saved a client $100,000 a year in security costs through the smart use of a security system that used CCTV technology to monitor the customer’s compound. Previously a security guard was on site 7 nights a week for 52 weeks a year. The customer said the only alternative advice he had received was to do the same thing but try and get the price down by 10k.
Through All Round Security’s recommendation, Philip was able to come up with a solution to surround the compound with external monitoring beams. If they were activated by someone coming onto the yard the CCTV cameras were viewed remotely by a monitoring station and if anyone was seen onsite a security response company was sent. It’s been over three years now and there’s been no attempted break ins.
